My Approach

Therapy doesn’t need to be an awkward experience and my hope is that if given a place to be your authentic self, there is a felt sense of safety in our sessions. I work to create a space where you are comfortable by having a less formal structure to sessions. I have a passion for helping people be their own true self and I do this by offering a judgement free space where you can relax in the comfort of your home or in my office space. We are all unique in many ways, so let’s celebrate that! My approach is validating, supportive, engaging, and real. Part of my job is to “poke the bear” some while also meeting you where you are with the goals you desire.

I am versed in a variety of evidence based practices and utilizes them to help my clients find their path to healing. Healing looks different for every person and that is why using a variety of modalities can be beneficial.

My previous clients have described me as a good listener, funny, creative, and genuine. I enjoy providing psycho-education to help bring understanding to the symptoms you are experiencing while providing a variety of ways to cope from things that are causing you distress. Some of my personal favorites come from nature, dogs and music. Lets just say my happy place tends to be my back porch with a good book and some hot tea. Sometimes my dogs even join in on telehealth sessions – although most of the time they are sleeping they are my “telehealth support animals” and bring smiles to many.

My specialties include: depression, anxiety, self-esteem issues, stress management, development of healthy coping skills, ADHD, trauma and life transitions.

My age preference for clients is 7 to 35 years old focusing on early adolescence to young adult.
